A dental site that answers the question first

Nearly every dental website opens with a stock photo and the word “Welcome”. This one opens with the question the patient actually arrived with, and answers it before asking for anything.

The problem

People do not arrive at a dentist’s website to browse. They arrive with a specific worry — a chipped tooth, a check-up they have put off for two years, a whitening price they are embarrassed to phone about — and almost every practice site makes them hunt through a services menu to find out whether they are in the right place and what it might cost.

The approach

The tool is the hero

Instead of a hero image with a booking button bolted on, the care finder *is* the first thing on the page. “What brings you in today?” is the headline, six common reasons are the primary interaction, and choosing one resolves in place into a next step, a typical visit length, a price range and an insurance note. It renders pre-filled, so there is never an empty box above the fold, and it still reads with JavaScript switched off.

What’s in the build

  • A care finder as the hero — six conditions, each resolving to a real answer with a price range
  • Multi-step booking that asks for the reason before it asks for a phone number
  • Transparent pricing shown as a care menu rather than hidden behind a consultation
  • A membership toggle for patients without insurance, priced monthly and annually
  • Dentist and FAQPage structured data, so the answers are eligible to surface in search

Who this fits

  • Dental and orthodontic practices competing on trust rather than price
  • Any clinic where patients hesitate to call because cost is unclear
  • Practices whose current site is a brochure rather than a booking tool

Decisions worth explaining

Warm, not clinical

The category default is cold blue and stock smiles. This build uses cream, forest and marigold with light-first photography — partly to be memorable, mostly because the emotional problem in dentistry is anxiety, and a colder palette makes that worse.

Price ranges, out loud

Publishing a range costs a practice nothing and removes the single biggest reason people delay calling. A patient who knows a check-up is $90–$140 books; a patient who has to phone to find out often does not.

About this demo

Marigold Dental Studio is a fictional practice built to demonstrate the approach. The reviews, prices and staff are invented — the care finder, the booking flow and the accessibility work are real and interactive.

Questions

What does a landing page like this cost?

Our landing-page work runs $800–$2,500 depending on how much custom interaction is involved. A page with a bespoke tool like the care finder sits at the upper end; a straightforward single-page site is at the lower end.

Do I need to publish my prices?

You do not have to, but a range works better than silence. Patients are not comparing you to a competitor’s exact figure — they are deciding whether to call at all, and an unanswered cost question is the most common reason they do not.

Will it work with my existing booking system?

Yes. The booking flow can hand off to whatever you already use — a scheduling tool, a form that emails the front desk, or a direct calendar integration. The point is that the page qualifies the patient before the hand-off.
